A pretty end of terrace period house of great character enjoying stunning widespread views over the adjacent open countryside. Believed to date back to the mid 18th century (but not Listed), the house occupies a lovely peaceful position within this very sought after hamlet, South of Bath.
The house stands in well maintained gardens, mostly to the rear and backing onto open fields. They are laid to lawn with numerous flower and herbaceous borders, shrubs and bushes. Large terrace/driveway leading to the side and the front of the property, providing parking for a number of vehicles.
Old School House occupies a wonderful position in this highly sought after location; opposite the pretty St Leonard’s church and close to Farleigh Castle. The hamlet is surrounded by (and overlooks) beautiful rolling countryside, the local pub is within a short walk, whilst mainline railway stations, shops and amenities in both Bath and Bradford-on- Avon are close by - approximately 7 and 3 miles distant respectively - swift access is also available onto the A303.
Leave Bath heading South on the A36. Continue over the viaduct and up the hill. After a couple of miles, turn left onto the A366 - signposted Farleigh Hungerford and Trowbridge. Pass ‘The Hungerford Arms’ and take the first turning right. The Old School House will then be found on your left hand side, immediately after the church on your right.
